KORDA Wide Gape X Size 2 10pcs.

This is a truly classic hook pattern and the Wide-Gape has been responsible for a huge number of big carp catches in the many years since its launch. It is based on an old classic spade head hook pattern from the 80’s and 90’s that was popular with many anglers at the time – the Maruta Kinryu – but Korda have improved it and made it more user friendly by replacing the spade with an eye. The Wide-Gape has a slightly in-turned eyelet, a short shank, a heavily forged bend and a very sharp, beak-like tip. It can be used with a variety of different pop-up and groundbait presentations, and once it gets a hold, it tends to stay in. There is also a Wide-Gape X version for fishing in tough conditions in the UK or for fishing overseas. For really extreme conditions overseas – e.g. when fishing for huge Siamese carp or Mekong catfish in Thailand – there is an even more robust Wide-Gape-XX version. For waters where barbed hooks are prohibited, the barbless Wide-Gape-B is perfect.
